Adjunct Instructor In The Developmental English Department
Do Great Things! Durham Technical Community College is hiring an Adjunct Instructor in the Developmental English Department. Adjunct faculty are responsible for providing a quality learning experience for students at Durham Technical Community College. Adjunct faculty provide instruction and complete other duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission and policies of the college. This posting is part of a pool recruitment process, which means we are collecting applications for potential openings that may arise during the academic year.

Responsibilities
A doctoral degree or a master's degree in English, English education, reading, or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in English or reading.
Preferred Qualifications:
Available and willing to teach courses in person.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to move between classrooms, buildings, and campuses
- Ability to express or exchange ideas
- Ability to lift, at times, 10 lbs.
- Good eye/hand dexterity

Working Hours:
Specific work hours are to be determined by the scheduled class hours and by consultation with the supervisor. Hours are not guaranteed but are based on student enrollment and faculty needs.
