Assistant Professor (Political Methodology)
The Department of Political Science at Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina, seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level who will work in the area of Political Methodology and other subfield specializations. The position will contribute to political methodology and play a major role in the department's methodological training.
The position will teach three courses per year, including both core and elective courses listed at the undergraduate and graduate level in Political Methodology. The position will maintain an active research agenda in political methodology and political economy.
The position will advise undergraduate students, supervise undergraduate honors theses, and mentor graduate student research at both the M.A. and Ph.D. levels. The position will actively participate in the Political Methods field workshops and contribute to the department's intellectual life.
The position will conduct original research in methodology, present findings at professional conferences, and publish in leading academic journals, university presses, and other scholarly outlets. The position will fulfill standard professional service responsibilities within the department, university, and the discipline.
Job Requirements:Position requires a PhD in Politics. Political Science, Political Methodology or related field of study.
