Coordinator, Teacher Education Programs (Full-Time | 9-Month)

Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) seeks a student-centered, innovative, and collaborative Coordinator of Teacher Education Programs to provide leadership for the College's Early Childhood Education, Residency Licensure/Educator Preparation Program (EPP), Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation, and Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation programs.

This position combines academic program leadership, instruction, student advising, faculty coordination, and partnership development to support students preparing for careers in education. The Coordinator works closely with faculty, school systems, early childhood education providers, colleges and universities, and other community partners to strengthen educational pathways and prepare students to serve as effective educators.

Under the supervision of the Department Head, Public Services, the Coordinator of Teacher Education Programs provides leadership for assigned teacher education programs, coordinates curriculum and course offerings, teaches Education (EDU) and cooperative education courses, advises students, supports and evaluates part‑time faculty, coordinates field‑based learning experiences, and leads ongoing program development and evaluation in accordance with North Carolina Community College System requirements, applicable Educator Preparation Program requirements, articulation agreements, and College policies.

• Provide leadership and coordination for the Early Childhood Education Program, Residency Licensure/Educator Preparation Program (EPP), Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation, and Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation.
• Coordinate program activities, goals, and objectives in collaboration with the Department Head.
• Support the ongoing development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of assigned programs.
• Establish and maintain effective program processes that support student progression and successful completion.
• Monitor program needs and recommend appropriate resources, equipment, supplies, and instructional materials.
• Report progress toward program objectives to the Department Head.
• Support sound fiscal management practices and assist with development of the annual program budget.
• Maintain current knowledge of requirements, standards, and emerging practices affecting teacher education programs and pathways.
