Assistantor Associate Professor position,Environmental Health

The Nicholas School of the Environment invites applications fora tenure-track position in

Environmental Health with an emphasis on toxicology and pollutant effects. The successful candidate willparticipateinand contribute to the T32-supported Integrated Toxicology and Environmental Health Program. We seek applicant sat the Assistant or Associate levelwhowillestablishwidely recognized, externally funded research programs.

Wet or dry lab programs are both of interest.

Research programs focused on computational toxicology, environmental epigenetics,climate and toxicology,and developmental toxicology are of particular interest, as is the ability to teach toxicology, risk assessment, and/or statistics.

We seek a researcher who will strengthen and expand existing strong collaborations with the School of Medicine and/or School of Nursing.

Environmental Health researchers at Duke benefit from the exceptional wealth of related expertise at Duke (e.g., Superfund Center, Precision Microbiome Engineering Research Center, Environmental Engineering, the Global Health Institute) and at nearby institutions including universities (UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, and NCCU), governmental agencies(NIEHS,EPA), research organizations (e.g., Research Triangle Institute International), as well asmanyhealth, consulting, chemical manufacturing, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and related industries.

The position will be based on Duke University's main campus in Durham, North Carolina.

Qualifications:

PhD or equivalent in relevant field.

The successful applicant will contribute to teaching,advising and service activities in the University and the applicant's professional field. The position includes 9 months of salary support. Teaching will consist of 2.5 courses per year, in the applicant's area of expertise andin coordination with the Division Chair. Course offerings willbe part of the Environment

PhD, the Integrated Toxicology and Environmental Health Program, the professional Master of Environmental Management (MEM),and undergraduate programs.
