Senior Construction Project Manager

Role:
Construction Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (NC)

Duration: 12+Months(Contract#W2 only)

Schedule:
Hybrid, M–F, 8am–5pm EST

The Construction Manager will lead large capital construction projects (~$100M) at an active pharmaceutical manufacturing site in North Carolina. This role focuses on safe, high-quality construction execution, coordination with operations, and delivery of complex projects in a regulated environment.

• Lead on-site construction teams, contractors, and safety resources
• Oversee daily field activities to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
• Coordinate with engineering, design, and system owners to meet project milestones
• Monitor field progress and resolve site issues and execution barriers
• Review and manage construction changes, costs, and invoices
• Coordinate construction activities with ongoing site operations, including clean construction practices.
• Ensure proper documentation, testing records, certifications, and system turnover
• Support SOPs, preventive maintenance plans, and quality documentation for installed systems

• Provide weekly construction progress and risk updates
• Deliver monthly financial, schedule, and risk reports
• Maintain an integrated project schedule through construction, commissioning, and turnover
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, utilities, and local authorities

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years managing capital construction projects
• Strong pharmaceutical construction experience in regulated manufacturing environments
• Hands‑on experience with pharma and biologics packaging facilities and packaging line installations
• Knowledge of hygienic design, cleanroom electrical standards, and validation requirements
• Experience with project management and scheduling tools.
