Champion Window – Permit Coordinator

As the Permit Coordinator, you will be responsible for submitting and applying for all permitted projects sold. This role is pivotal in ensuring that permitting processes are completed efficiently and effectively, with the goal of delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Managing multiple projects simultaneously, the Permit Coordinator will foster strong relationships with local government offices and other external entities to streamline operations as needed.

  • Oversee and manage all permit applications for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and local municipal laws and codes.
  • Interface regularly with Champion Field Teams, customers, contractors, and government officials to facilitate permit approvals and resolve any issues quickly.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve permitting efficiency, including anticipating delays and proactively addressing them.
  • Maintain and update permit tracking systems, ensuring all documentation is current and accessible.
  • Monitor and manage engineering fees and permitting costs to align with project budgets.
  • Train staff and provide guidance on permitting processes, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager of Permitting to align permitting activities with company objectives and address escalations when necessary.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
  • Permit Turnaround Times:
    Achieve or exceed established timelines for permit approvals.
  • Site plan submittals within 24 hours.
  • Permit submitted within 3 days of submittal checklist.
  • 3 day check‑in on all open permits.
  • Operate with full autonomy while consulting the Permit Manager as needed to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Manage overall permitting process including uploading into CRM and communication to the Local Install managers.
  • Manage permit submittal process and maintain cycle time goals.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft suit and CRM tools.
  • Comfortable being in an administrative or office environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage relationships with government officials, contractors, and customers.
  • Have a sense of urgency to be solution based (help solve challenges).
  • Ability to multitask multiple projects at a time.
  • CAD design experience a plus!
