Product Engineer; NC Site in Durham

Job Description

A Product Engineer is primarily responsible for overseeing the RMA service lifecycle. The engineer will need to have a strong technical engineering background, identify and solve any technical challenges during the RMA enabling stage of a product, and collaborate with various teams to ensure the product meets customer requirements. After the product is serviced, they will monitor the performance of the RMA service process to identify areas for continuous improvement.

• Oversee the start of manufacturing process to ensure productivity and safety.
• Design RMA process referencing the product manufacturing processes.
• Review product specifications with Foxconn and customer teams.
• Determine and select product BOM to prepare RMA material usage.
• Communicate directly with customer product engineering teams during the RMA process to review process & specifications.
• Product Engineer to have a deep learning of shop floor systems and  to maintain BOM and process through cloud systems.
• Determine proper tools, equipment and fixtures and ensure they are properly distributed to service production.
• Create or revise product SOP’s for RMA work.
• Manage process for line once operational.

• Experience in managing and handling electronic tools, equipment and fixtures.
• PCB/PCBA experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in software and hardware systems.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organizational skills for planning, multitasking, and time management.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong intrapersonal skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar field.
• 5 years or more Product Engineer experience.
• 2 years of Electronics Manufacturing experience.
