Position SummaryAs a vital part of Boswell’s long-term expansion plans, we are excited to support increasing infrastructure investments, utility modernization, and private‑sector development across the Southeast US Region. We are seeking a Regional Director to lead the company’s strategic expansion into the Southeast United States, particularly in North Carolina, with a primary focus on the Raleigh‑Durham and Charlotte metropolitan regions.
In this role, you will launch and establish Boswell’s Southeast roots, foundation, growth, and long‑term development.
You will be responsible for driving regional growth, developing long‑term client relationships, identifying strategic hires and teaming opportunities, while positioning Boswell for sustainable expansion across Transportation, Power & Energy (with a focus on Transmission & Distribution), Environmental, and related infrastructure markets.
Key Responsibilities- Build and strengthen Boswell’s Southeast presence and brand recognition across North Carolina and the broader Southeast Region
- Lead the establishment and expansion of Boswell’s first North Carolina office, including the development of the local operational platform, office management structure, registrations, prequalification processes, and other regional administrative and operational requirements, under the strategic direction of Boswell’s executive leadership and corporate HQ
- Formulate and execute a regional growth model, client engagement, and execute strategies, including collaborating closely with Boswell leadership to align business development efforts with operational delivery capabilities
- Develop and maintain executive‑level relationships with Utilities and energy providers, State and local transportation agencies, Municipalities and public authorities, Private developers and industrial clients, and Engineering and construction partners
- Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities across Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Substations and grid modernization, Data center and industrial infrastructure, Transportation infrastructure, Water Services, Environmental and permitting services, and Site/Civil Engineering
- Support strategic talent acquisition efforts and help identify local talent
- Support proposal strategy, teaming partnerships, contract negotiations, major pursuits while providing ongoing market intelligence regarding competitors, clients, capital programs, and emerging infrastructure trends
- Represent Boswell at industry events, conferences, trade associations, and client meetings throughout the region
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required and Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience within the engineering, infrastructure, and utility industry demonstrating a strong business development mindset and a proven ability to combine strategic leadership, market positioning, technical expertise, and operational management
- Proven track‑record in regional leadership, business development/ market growth, strategic planning and operations leadership role within an engineering consulting firm, including support of local office operations, licensing, prequalification, and regional business development platforms
