Position: Project Manager - New Product Introduction

Wolfspeed Power Products – New Product Introduction (NPI) – Project Management Office (PMO)

As a Project Manager in the NPI PMO group, you will lead the execution and process innovation for our Silicon Carbide (SiC) Power product portfolio. Your role will involve project management and qualification of new product integrations, ensuring they meet industrial and automotive standards, and driving them through the Business Phase/Gate approval cycle from concept to commercialization.

Responsibilities
  • Own, manage and drive Power Product NPI’s through the Business Phase/Gate approval process, from Concept through Commercialization, focusing on Die, Discrete, or Module offerings.
  • Own mitigation planning of all design/technical, manufacturing, schedule, and yield risks.
  • Own integration of next‑generation technologies to enable new product releases.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of product requirements, including all items for product release.
  • Identify deliverables and ensure completion to enable successful transition to Operations.
  • Develop and own product and technology road‑mapping activities.
  • Integrate new technologies into product portfolios.
  • Forecast, plan, coordinate and schedule substrate and epi starting material, fab wafer starts, package qualification builds, test, characterization, and reliability testing to meet new product qualification schedules.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to define product release timelines and strategies.
  • Document, summarize and report on project status to key stakeholders, communicating progress and highlighting schedule and project risks.
  • Ensure all testing, reliability stress and evaluation are completed in accordance with current and emerging standards, including JEDEC, AEC‑Q101, Power Module LV324, AGQ
    324, and SiC‑specific standards.
  • Facilitate DFMEA and DVP&R, ensuring products are effectively identified and documented.
  • Incorporate previous lessons learned into new product risk analysis.
  • Utilize 8D methodology to document qualification issues, corrective actions, and capture Lessons Learned for future development.
  • Support or lead NPI system‑level improvements to ensure efficient product definition, approval, and release in support of APQP requirements.
  • Support continuous yield and capability improvements for released technologies and products.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in process engineering, process integration, or product engineering in a production semiconductor wafer fabrication facility.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to multi‑task in a complex environment and strong written and verbal communication.
  • Analytical mindset and initiative to confront difficult problems and elevate team performance.
  • Ability to understand complex problems and communicate them in a simple manner.
  • Ability to communicate with experts across Research & Development, Engineering, Operations, Reliability, Marketing, and Leadership.
  • Strong problem‑solving and mitigation prevention skills.
  • Degree in engineering, physics, or a closely related field.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
Preferred Requirements
  • At least 8 years of industry experience in process engineering, process integration, and/or product engineering in a production semiconductor wafer fabrication facility.
  • Strong problem‑solving and mitigation prevention skills, including experience with 8D, FMEA, DOE, and ANOVA.
  • Advanced degree in engineering, physics, or a closely related field.
