Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan schedule and coordinate all Corrective and Preventative WO's/PM's maintenance activities in a manner that maximizes technician utilization and asset availability.
  • Provide maintenance support for production and engineering activities to ensure optimum results.
  • Investigate equipment related problems, analyze root cause, and drive resolutions through maintenance.
  • Identify trends of PM completion vs downtime events, and work towards continuous improvement of maintenance activities.
  • Work with Engineering to develop asset-based PM schedules that are linked to OEM specifications.
  • Champion the shift from reactive to proactive maintenance through effective PM creation, scheduling, and coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assure compliance of proper safety, quality and environmental requirements in work.
  • Manage all aspects of the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Function as a Medical First Responder in the Fiber Plant.
  • Work with Maintenance Manager, Material Planner, Engineering and TSA team members to provide kits and maintenance plans for planned and/or corrective maintenance activities.
  • Perform periodic audits of Maintenance PM and corrective activities to ensure plan veracity and adherence.
  • Other responsibilities as directed by the Maintenance and Facilities Manager.
Qualifications
  • Relevant technical degree, or 2-5 years similar work experience.
  • Experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated collaborative interpersonal skills and building relationships.
  • Exhibits tremendous energy and operates as a change agent by proactive planning and execution.
  • Strong collaborative & influencing skills displaying trust and integrity.
  • Well organized & disciplined in prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Data interpretation skills using fact-based decisions and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and document management.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehends technical documents.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of facilities, Safety and Compliance Regulations, and machine capabilities and functionality.
  • Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates self-assured decision making and critical thinking in a complex and quick changing environment.
  • Experience in fiber optic manufacturing preferred.
