Senior Electrical Project Engineer – First Class Seating
Responsibilities- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for small to mid‑size projects and adjust to ensure adherence to established project plans.
- Record and document delays, changes in scope, and other incidents impacting scope or schedule to support smooth project operations.
- Pursue cost‑saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
- Perform critical path analysis and implement workaround plans to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Conduct meetings, consolidate, and present project plans and progress reports.
- Identify and react to project problems and recommend solutions such as reallocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion; oversee administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects.
- Liaise between project management and planning, project teams, and line management.
- Coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, budgets, and contract terms.
- Review project and budget status, manage schedules, and prepare reports.
- Monitor and assess project issues, develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer‑satisfaction goals.
- Represent Collins Aerospace as the primary customer contact for projects.
- Direct work of employees assigned to projects in technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
- Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
- Maintain integrated master schedules for project(s) and meet program schedules and budgets.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Working knowledge of interior electrical harness routing.
- Working knowledge of aircraft electrical interfaces.
- Experience with Siemens PLM tools – Teamcenter and NX.
- Knowledge of seat actuation systems.
- Familiarity with IFE supplier LRUs and system integration.
- Familiarity with FAA and EASA requirements.
- Familiarity with aircraft OEM electrical processes and requirements.
