Senior ASIC Verification Engineer
US Citizenship Preferred.
Location:
Durham, NC. Hybrid work schedule: 2 days per week in office.
Design, develop, and verify VLSI components and hardware systems. Lead technical efforts, mentor junior staff, and influence strategic direction.
Responsibilities- Develop organization‑wide architectures and methodologies for VLSI design across multiple platforms.
- Serve as a recognized authority in key VLSI technical areas and help define industry standards.
- Review and evaluate VLSI designs and projects for compliance with technology and development guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership and accountability for multiple project teams and engineers.
- Leverage VLSI expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership and industry standards groups.
- Mentor and guide less experienced staff, setting examples of design innovation and excellence.
- Participate in the process for selecting future technical leaders.
- Identify emerging VLSI technologies and analyze their impact.
- Lead the identification of new VLSI projects and programs.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 8 years of experience in VLSI design and verification.
Knowledge & Skills- Leadership experience and mastery of electrical engineering fundamentals, VLSI principles, digital logic, and computer architecture.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in designing VLSI components, integrated circuitry, architectures, and algorithms for complex solutions.
- Experience with programming, scripting, hardware description languages, electronic design automation (EDA), and FPGA tools.
- Coursework in VLSI design or related concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English and the local language.
- History of innovation and technical leadership, evidenced by patents, publications, and technical presentations.
