We are seeking a motivated, Senior Fpg System Development Engineer for our Aerospace, Defense and Communication Business Unit. The goal of the Fpg Team is to develop and deploy high-quality Fpg and SoC solutions to internal and external customers. To enable the customers to evaluate and test ultra-wideband products, and ultimately to build their own systems and end-products for multiple applications and market segments.

Included but not limited to electronic test equipment, wideband communication systems, and Aerospace & Defense subsystems.

The role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, coordination and technical skills who works well in a diverse environment across global team and geographically distributed organization.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Design and implement SoC Fpg programs using HDL, IP, and embedded software
• Constrain Fpg designs and perform timing analysis
• Perform Fpg design verification using behavioral models
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems on Fpg designs and hardware
• Participate in design reviews, create documentation, present information, and produce demonstrations
• Support the evaluation and test of new products in the lab and on ATE
• Work in a cross-functional team environment that includes close interaction with digital design engineers, product/test engineers and applications/marketing engineers

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical and/or computer engineering
• Good experience with Fpg and/or SoC programming
• Motivated and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation, coordination and overall communication skills
• Has a bias for action and works in collaboration with others to deliver high-quality results
• Vision to work with leading edge technology and push it forward
• Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and set priorities for the team to deliver on schedule

Preferred:

• Fpg and/or SoC experience that includes high-speed signaling, electronics design and embedded software
• Experience with Intel-Altera and/or AMD-Xilinx devices and tools, especially Gigabit Transceivers and high-speed memory
• Experience with RTL HW programming and digital design in general
• Experience with C/C++, Python and TCL and software design
• Demonstrated leading and coordinating teams and/or team members to success
