Senior Maintenance Safety Principal

Our client seeks a senior Maintenance Safety Principal to support ongoing projects at a premier Bio/Pharma manufacturing facility in RTP. Serving as an extension of the site's EHS Team, this role bridges the gap between technical safety compliance and daily plant floor operations. The role ensures that all preventative and non-routine maintenance activities are executed with zero risk.

Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

• Develop and update Energy Control Plans, high-risk Lockout-Tagout protocols, Job Plans, and maintenance SOPs.
• Conduct equipment walkdowns, analyze technical documentation including safety circuitry and interlocks, and lead Job Hazard Analyses.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, I&C, and contractors to integrate safety initiatives into workflows.
• Participate in safety walkdowns, monitor high-risk work such as electrical, confined spaces, work at heights, and pressure testing, and assist with incident root-cause investigations.
• Provide safety training to maintenance personnel and ensure alignment with OSHA, EPA, and site protocols.

• Proven experience in EHS, Industrial Safety, or Process Safety Engineering in a regulated manufacturing or Bio/Pharma environment.
• Technical expertise in LOTO, confined spaces, electrical safety, and interpreting technical or engineering documentation.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with field craft, engineers, and site leadership.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
