R&D Hardware Test Technician

Must Haves:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience working with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems
• Experience executing tests and documenting results
• Excel experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment

Pluses:

• Semiconductor industry experience
• Robotics fabrication or testing experience
• Military electronics experience
• Experience with quality systems and data traceability
• Soldering experience
• Mini Tab experience
• LabVIEW experience
• CAD experience
• Advanced Excel skills

Day to Day:

• Configure machines and subsystems to match testing requirements
• Assist engineers in creating Product Qualification Plans (PQPs)
• Perform product and subsystem testing as defined in PQPs
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data
• Run software installation managers to support deployment to factory and field environments
• Document test results in formal test reports
• Fabricate prototypes and test systems
• Build printed circuit board assemblies and wiring harnesses as needed
• Perform failure analysis on parts, assemblies, and systems
• Support engineers with troubleshooting and debugging electro-mechanical systems
• Use machine tools to fabricate prototype parts and assemblies under engineering direction
• Maintain test system inventory
• Help keep test labs safe, organized, and ready for use
