We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Cost Analyst to support cost management and financial controls across large-scale renewable energy projects. This role partners closely with project management, finance, engineering, and construction teams to track budgets, forecast costs, and ensure financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of experience in project cost analysis or project controls, preferably in renewable energy, data centers, or other large capital infrastructure environments. This role is well suited for a highly analytical professional who thrives in fast-paced project settings and wants to grow within a project controls organization.
Key Responsibilities Cost Management & Forecasting- Support development and maintenance of project budgets, cost baselines, and cash flow forecasts
- Support tracking actual costs against budgets and commitments and identify variances
- Support the preparation of monthly cost reports, forecasts, and executive summaries for project leadership
- Assist with earned value analysis and performance tracking
- Monitor purchase orders, contracts, change orders, and invoices for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain cost tracking systems and ensure data integrity across project financial tools
- Support accruals, financial close processes, and reconciliation with finance teams
- Assist in evaluating cost impacts of scope changes and project risks
- Partner with project managers, construction teams, and procurement to align cost reporting with project progress
- Support vendor and subcontractor cost tracking and reporting
- Participate in project review meetings and provide cost insights to stakeholders
- Contribute to development of standardized cost reporting templates and procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve cost tracking efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Support audits and internal controls related to project financial management
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in project cost analysis, project controls, or financial analysis
- Experience in renewable energy, data center, or large infrastructure projects strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP or project controls software is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
