Description
About the Role:You will prepare tax filings for the Association's US-based entities, navigating government forms and websites. Complete monthly US sales tax activities and help maintain tax settings within the systems. Complete monthly journal entries and reconciliations. You will report to the Lead Manager - Tax (US). This is a hybrid role remote/in office.
You Will:- Prepare and file property tax returns
- Assist with the preparation and filing of employee benefit plan (Form 5500's)
- Coordinate Form 990 and 990-T filings, preparing thorough transaction documentation for the external CPA firm preparing the returns
- Request and maintain Certificates of Residence from the IRS
- Complete annual report filings
- Partner with outside vendor in monitoring and tracking charitable registrations
- Prepare and complete monthly uploads of sales tax reports to Vertex within the required deadlines
- Complete taxability product setups in Vertex, partnering with internal and external partners
- Support global tax projects and finance transformation programs
- Research and understand applicable tax issues, documenting conclusions and participating in discussions with advisors when needed
- Manage tax audits and notices, ensuring timely responses
- Complete monthly journal entries and reconciliations as assigned
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years relevant experience

The Annual Salary Range for this role is: $70,000 - $90,000
