Position Overview

Relationship Manager (Vice President or Senior Vice President) – Venture Banking team, East Coast, focused exclusively on the Southeast technology market.

Salary range: $175,000 – $225,000 per year. The position covers the Southeast and may be located anywhere within the region. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship and are expected to be hybrid if within a 50‑mile radius of a Customers Bank location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate debt and banking relationships with venture‑backed companies.
  • Deepen and retain key client relationships across the existing portfolio.
  • Serve as a trusted financial partner to founders, executive teams, and venture capital investors, bringing market insight, a strong professional network, and a consultative approach.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong network across the Southeast venture ecosystem; experience building trusted relationships with founders, CFOs, and venture capital firms.
  • Commercial, business‑development mindset with the ability to source, structure, and close banking and debt opportunities for VC‑backed technology companies.
  • Comfortable underwriting and advising high‑growth, often pre‑profitable businesses; sound judgment in venture lending and credit solutions.
  • Consultative, relationship‑first approach; energized by becoming a long‑term strategic partner to clients.
  • For VP level: 5–7 years relevant venture banking or related experience; for SVP level: 8–10 years.
Technology Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other Customers Bank applications.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools that support productivity, workflow efficiency, and client engagement.
