About the Role
You will be a tax subject matter expert for Individual income taxation for the Association. You will also develop or review technical tax content, manage a Tax Division committee, and lead task forces or other working groups. You will provide support on important leadership projects, represent the Tax Section on Association-wide projects, support the Tax Section membership, and assist with tax-related webcasts and conferences.
You will report to the Director – Tax Practice & Ethics as an individual contributor. A hybrid work schedule will be used.
- Be the staff liaison for Tax Division committees, develop and oversee strategic task forces based on latest needs in the accounting profession.
- Manage projects, resources, and volunteer engagement for the Tax Practice & Ethics team, and improve the growth of the Tax Section and awareness of member benefits and offerings.
- Oversee updates to the Annual Tax Compliance Kit, the Tax Practice Quarterly Webcast Series, and the Tax Rewind Webcast Series.
- Provide technical guidance, contribute to tax-related communications and publications, develop practical resources for members, and respond to tax-related member inquiries.
- Support other areas of taxation and new issues such as trust, estate and gift taxation, including helping with proposed and newly enacted legislation and related guidance within assigned subject areas.
- Respond to identified media requests, build a social media presence, and stay up to date with developments in the profession.
- Foster communication and cooperation between the Tax Practice & Ethics team and other internal departments, including External Relations.
- 6+ years of related experience in a tax role, including experience with tax software (e.g., preparation, research, planning, or ERP).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Additional InformationUS Salary Range: $105,000–$125,000 annually. This is a standard range and exact compensation may vary based on experience and location.
