We are seeking a motivated FP&A Analyst to join our client's finance team. This role will support financial planning, business performance reporting, and strategic decision-making through financial modeling, KPI analysis, profitability assessments, and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of finance, FP&A, accounting, or related analytical experience and possess strong Excel and data analysis skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct profitability analysis by customer, product, service line, business unit, or market segment.
- Support the monthly forecasting process, annual budgeting cycle, and long-range planning efforts.
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for finance leadership and business stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand business drivers, and provide actionable financial insights.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, business cases, and special projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate analyses, and enhance data accuracy.
- Support management decision-making through data-driven recommendations and financial insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, business analysis, or a related analytical role.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling techniques.
- Experience working with large data sets and translating findings into meaningful business recommendations.
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and variance analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or financial reporting systems is a plus.
- Financial statement analysis.
- Dashboard development and reporting automation.
- Business partnering and stakeholder management.
- Understanding of profitability drivers and performance metrics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
