Senior Financial Analyst

A regional public transportation agency serving one of NC's fastest-growing areas, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning and analysis activities related to major regional transit plans.

This role will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and financial plan administration
, helping ensure resources are effectively monitored and long-term financial sustainability is maintained.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical finance professional who can work comfortably with complex financial data, identify risks and variances, and communicate findings clearly to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Maintain and update financial models supporting regional transit plans, budgeting, and forecasting
• Monitor revenue streams, budget performance, variances, and financial risks
• Support transit plan amendments, reimbursements, reporting, and financial plan submissions
• Assist with annual work plan development and financial planning activities
• Prepare financial reports, presentations, and materials for internal and external stakeholders
• Analyze financial data to identify funding challenges and support long-term financial sustainability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist with additional financial initiatives as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Experience developing or working with financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and planning
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with an ERP system

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
