Job Description
Altis Biosystems Inc . is seeking afull-time Associate Scientist to join ourcommercialteam that will focus on supporting
Projects Leads todesign,execute, synthesize data into conclusions, and presentresultstoclients.
The Associate Scientist will be expected to progressintomanagingtheirown clients within the first year.
- Support Project Leads with client project execution, including planning, scheduling, and day-to-day lab work.
- Perform mammalian cell culture and downstream assays (e.g., cytotoxicity assays, ELISAs, RNA extraction, IF staining/imaging) following established methods and quality expectations.
- Analyze and interpret data, create figures/tables, and summarize results for internal updates and client deliverables.
- Draft and contribute to client-facing reports andassistwith presenting results to internal and external audiences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment; complete routine lab maintenance to support equipment readiness, safety, and efficiency.
- Communicate proactively about progress, risks, and bandwidth, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet project timelines.
- Flexible hours may be required, including occasional weekend coverage on a rotating call schedule to support critical projects or team needs, with advance notice provided whenever possible.
- BS with 3+years of relevant experience, or MS with 2+years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience with client communication and/or supporting external stakeholders.
- Experience synthesizing data and presenting to internal and external audiences (written and verbal).
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and common molecular/cellular techniques (e.g., cytotoxicity assays, ELISAs, RNA extraction, IF staining and imaging).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and organization, and Graph Pad Prism
- Familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., Wrike, MS Project, or similar).
- Strong interpersonal skills: clear communicator, collaborative teammate, ownership mindset, adaptable, and professional with feedback/conflict.
- Experience with organoids and/or primary multicellular model systems.
- Background in intestinal biology and/or immunology.
- Experience with GLP/GMP or quality systems.
- Experience contributing to scientific writing (e.g., technical reports, manuscripts).
