The Adjunct Psychotherapist Program at BGT PLLC offers a unique, benefits-focused employment model for fully licensed private practice therapists in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. This W-2, salaried position requires therapists to independently manage and maintain a modest caseload under BGTs operating systems. The role is designed to be a secondary income source, with the primary value being access to premium, employer-subsidized benefits typically unavailable to solo practitioners, including a platinum health plan, PTO, and a 401(k) with employer match.
While maintaining professional autonomy and the private practices they have worked hard to establish, Adjunct Psychotherapists adhere to BGT's policies and standards of care. Conditional upon meeting specific performance and revenue metrics, Adjunct Psychotherapists are given a commensurate fixed salary and are eligible for benefits. Job Details Classification:
All employees start their position classified as W-2, commission based employees. Employees who have met key performance conditions will transition to a classification of a W-2, non-exempt, salaried position with benefit eligibility. Initial Compensation:
First 30-90 days are compensated at commission split of 75/25 of all generated revenue or at minimum wage for all hours worked, whichever is greater. W-2, salary Compensation:
Minimum gross annual salary of $30,000, effective 1st of the month after at least 30 days of meeting key performance conditions. Pay Frequency:
All employees are paid once per month. Status:
Initial 30-90 days, employees are classified as part time and are not eligible for benefits. Once key performance conditions are met, an employee's position switches to a fixed salary and they are eligible for benefits.
Location:
Fully Remote, Hybrid or fully In-Person psychotherapists are welcome to apply. Requirements Have a Masters Degree in a relevant field. Have at least 2 years post graduation clinical fully and independently licensed to provide psychotherapy. License must be active and in good standing. No provisionally licensed therapists will be considered at this time.
Have an active Solo Private Practice. Be able to ethically facilitate the transfer of a portion of your current clients into BGT.PA residents can enroll in BGT's insurance group contracts with Cigna; NC residents can enroll in BGT's insurance group contracts with Aetna, BCBS and Cigna.
Have active Malpractice Insurance with standard coverage of $1 million per claim/ $3 million annual aggregate. Have active Liability Insurance if working Hybrid or In Person. Be able to provide 3 professional references. Have primary residence in one of the following states:

Duties Ethically facilitate the timely transition of a portion of caseload into BGT's operating systems.
Manage your own insurance billing under BGT insurance group contracts for BGT caseload through EHR. Comply with professional license type and corresponding professional membership (NASW, AAMFT, APA, ACA, etc) organizations' Code of Ethics as well as state licensing board's standards of practice. Familiarize with and integrate the use of BGT's policies with clients seen under BGT, including all client-facing documentation and procedures, as well as standard of care policies when providing psychotherapy under BGT.
Familiarize with and adhere to expectations and policies around clinical administration responsibilities and general administration responsibilities.
Orient to and meet key work performance conditions, including minimum and maximum size of BGT caseload, expected range of weekly billable client appointments, and expected generated revenue goals under BGT.Independently manage & maintain BGT caseload to meet key work performance conditions. Maintain professional license in active, good standing at all times. Meet all license renewal requirements. Maintain professional liability insurance (malpractice insurance, and general liability insurance if providing therapy in person)
Meet with a member of BGT leadership for 30, 60, 90 day performance reviews upon being hired. Collaborate on problem-solving any issues with meeting key performance conditions in a prompt manner.
