  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns to support back‑end processing.
  • Understanding of cloud‑based infrastructure and Dev‑Ops practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on, pragmatic mindset with willingness to participate in code reviews and implementation design discussions.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to deliver tactically and execute on the vision.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technology‑related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science).
  • 6+ years of experience in multiple IT areas, including analysis, design, evaluation, development, and implementation, with a focus on data and analytics.
  • Systems integration pattern knowledge, including expertise in REST API design.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and common security protocols and patterns.
  • Experience with cloud‑based architecture patterns and practices.
  • Appreciation for emerging technology trends in analytics, mobile and AI.

The Team

The Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund ('Fidelity Charitable') is a public charity that sponsors the largest national donor‑advised fund program. Since 1991, Fidelity Charitable has introduced tens of thousands of donors to the benefits and increased charitable impact of using a donor‑advised fund to meet philanthropic goals. The organization is governed by an independent Board of Trustees, which has hired Fidelity Investments as the service provider.

Fidelity Investments supports all functions, including program development, marketing, service delivery, relationship management, finance, technology, risk and compliance, and fundraising.

As Director of Architecture, you will play an important role in shaping the technology systems that support our charitable mission, working with the team to modernize legacy systems, scale to meet growing demand, and continue ongoing digital transformation.

Most roles at Fidelity are hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M‑F) in a Fidelity office; this does not apply to remote or fully onsite roles.

Please be advised that Fidelity’s business is governed by the provisions of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, ERISA, and numerous state laws governing securities, investment and retirement‑related financial activities and the rules and regulations of numerous self‑regulatory organizations, including FINRA, among others. Those laws and regulations may restrict Fidelity from hiring and/or associating with individuals with certain criminal histories.
