Job Description & How to Apply Below

Optomi, in partnership with a leading innovative testing clinic, is looking for a Program Manager to join their team! This role sits at the intersection of genetics, software systems, and product delivery, ensuring that genetic testing products are accurately ordered, processed, and delivered through technology platforms. Acting as a key liaison between scientific and engineering teams, the role is responsible for validating end-to-end workflows, creating representative test cases, and identifying issues before they impact real patients or clients.

Success in this position requires both a strong understanding of human genetics and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams to ensure high-quality, reliable results delivery.

What the Right Candidate Will Enjoy:
  • Working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where experimentation and iteration are encouraged!
  • Owning testing workflows end-to-end and seeing your work directly impact patient care and data quality.
  • Working closely with geneticists, scientists, software engineers, and product managers to solve real-world problems!
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, genetics, or a related life science field.
  • Background in human genetics, with hands‑on experience in clinical variant interpretation and/or genetic reporting preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading or coordinating programs or projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working in clinical laboratory, healthcare, or regulated environments is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycles and collaborating directly with software engineering teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office; experience with SQL or data analysis is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and execute software integration testing to ensure genetic testing products can be accurately ordered and results are delivered correctly.
  • Create and manage example genetic test cases representing a variety of result types using internal interpretation and reporting platforms.
  • Collect, organize, and track testing requests, ensuring timely completion and clear documentation.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot test cases that produce unexpected or incorrect results, partnering with engineering and scientific teams to resolve issues.
  • Interface with cross‑functional teams from order intake through results generation and delivery to ensure successful end‑to‑end testing.
  • Provide regular status updates to product and engineering stakeholders and elevate risks or blockers as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement of testing processes, documentation, and workflows.
