Network Engineer
Senior Team Lead, Network Field Cabling Installation is a developing management role responsible for leading and managing a team of network cabling installation engineers. This role ensures the efficient design, installation, maintenance, and management of network cabling systems within the organization’s facilities, including data centers, offices, and remote sites.
Key Responsibilities- Leads, mentors, and supervises a team of network cabling installation engineers while fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
- Oversees the planning, execution, and completion of network cabling projects.
- Collaborates with project managers, network engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Develops and implements strategic plans for network cabling infrastructure to support the organization’s IT and business objectives.
- Assesses future capacity needs and technology trends to guide infrastructure planning.
- Ensures that network cabling installations meet industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Conducts quality assessments and inspections of completed installations.
- Allocates resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to support cabling projects.
- Monitors project budgets and resource utilization.
- Maintains accurate documentation of cabling layouts, diagrams, test results, and project records.
- Generates reports and provides regular updates to senior management.
- Collaborates with vendors and suppliers to procure materials and equipment needed for cabling projects.
- Negotiates contracts and manages vendor relationships.
- Ensures that all cabling installations adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency in network cabling operations.
- Seasoned proficiency in project management principles and tools.
- Seasoned knowledge of network cabling standards, copper, and fiber optic cabling systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

- Academic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Preferred certifications: BICSI RCDD, Cisco CCNA.
- Required experience:
Seasoned experience in a similar role and within a similar IT services organization; seasoned experience in network cabling installation; developing experience managing field cabling installation engineers.

Compensation & BenefitsThe starting hourly pay range for this on‑site role is $25 to $42 per hour, reflecting the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position. Actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s work location, experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
