Site Reliability & Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Site Reliability & Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support and modernize enterprise infrastructure within the insurance and financial services industry. The Site Reliability & Infrastructure Automation Engineer role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with experience balancing legacy systems and modern cloud, automation, and reliability practices. The Site Reliability & Infrastructure Automation Engineer role is a direct placement role and requires you to work on site in Durham, NC 3 days per week.

Responsibilities of the Site Reliability & Infrastructure Automation Engineer:

* Design and maintain synthetic monitoring for applications, services, and APIs.

* Build dashboards, alerts, and telemetry to improve observability and reliability.

* Automate operational tasks using Power Shell, Python, or similar tools.

* Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for cloud and infrastructure resources.

* Troubleshoot cloud, SaaS, and hybrid infrastructure issues.

Requirements of the Site Reliability & Infrastructure Automation Engineer:

* Bachelors of Science Degree

* Experience supporting both traditional infrastructure and cloud environments.

* Strong background in monitoring, observability, and alerting tools.

* Scripting and automation experience (Power Shell, Python, or similar).

* Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure.

* Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and tools.

* Experience with Windows Server and Entra  (Azure AD).

Compensation for the Site Reliability & Infrastructure Automation Engineer:

* $110,000 - $140,000 base + bonus + LTI
