Position: WUNC Technology Support

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Typically 35-38 hours per week.

Position Summary

This position will provide technical support and/or programming to staff, which may include installing and configuring computer hardware, software, networks, printers and scanners, diagnosing and solving hardware/software issues, and analyzing underlying issues as necessary. The role also involves project management of IT systems upgrades, migrations and organization.

  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Diagnose and solve hardware and software issues.
  • Analyze underlying issues as necessary.
  • Manage projects related to IT systems upgrades, migrations, and organization.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or
  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Journey level requires an additional one year of experience.
  • Advanced level requires an additional two years of experience.
Management Preferences
  • Knowledge of Windows OS installation with troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP setups for computers and printers.
  • Knowledge of audio studio equipment.
  • Ability to research issues and projects.
  • Experience with standard office software, PC and Mac OS or hardware.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements

Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation, and negotiate ladders.
