Search and NLP Engineer - Virtual

Support Alight's Generative AI roadmap as an NLP Engineer by designing capabilities and solutions using LLMs and transformer‑based architectures.

• Evaluate base search appliance configurations and assess their impact on search results.
• Review and test the latest Large Language Models and develop capabilities using LLM endpoints.
• Design and implement new capabilities and configurations in the Open Search environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve search and retrieval performance based on client needs.
• Provide guidance on conversational AI and related strategy.
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates.
• Submit and track Maestro or JIRA requests.

• 25 years of experience in AI technology roles focused on natural language models.
• Working knowledge of process mapping and process design.
• Experience with Scaled Agile (SAFe).
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to align business objectives with data insights.
• Completion of a program of study typically requiring four years of postsecondary education or equivalent.
