Senior IT Onboarding Engineer
Our Senior IT Onboarding Engineer is responsible for leading projects to onboard new customers to our managed IT services and ensure their success. They will play a critical role in building trust with new clients as a primary technical point of communication during the project. Our onboarding projects focus on discovering and documenting existing equipment, configurations, systems, applications, and workflows while seamlessly implementing our standard security and management toolsets and services.
The position requires extensive experience with a diverse set of technologies including but not limited to firewalls, switches, servers, O365, Azure, VPN, and LOB Applications.
- Communicating project timelines and details to the onboarding customer.
- Discovery and documentation of all IT related systems, applications, and processes of new clients.
- Implementing, or managing the implementation of, remote monitoring and management systems, MDR, email security gateway security, DNS filtering, server backups, and other solutions as part of our standard offering as part of a team.
- Occasional travel to remote client sites for discovery and service implementation.
- Providing technical guidance and support to new clients throughout the onboarding process.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the onboarding process.
- Collaborating with other teams, such as Professional Services, Account Management, and Service Desk, and the Network Operations Center to ensure a smooth and seamless onboarding experience for our clients.
- Creating and maintaining documentation and best practices for onboarding processes and procedures.
- Ensuring that new clients experience what makes 360 Smart Networks great during their onboarding process.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in server, network, and application technical support.
- Previous MSP experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Functional knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Certifications in IT systems and equipment, such as Cisco CCNA, MS O365/Entra Administrator, etc., are preferred.
