Chief Information Security and Infrastructure Officer (CISIO) at The Clorox Company, located in Durham, NC.
OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role of Chief Information Security and Infrastructure Officer (CISIO). The CISIO will establish and implement the information security program, while providing leadership for Infrastructure, Network Operations, and Operational Technology across the enterprise. Reporting to the Chief Information and Data Officer (CIDO), the CISIO partners with business heads and senior executives to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of information assets.
Responsibilities- Establish and communicate organization-wide information security strategy, policies, and standards.
- Identify and protect against key threats relative to the criticality of company information assets.
- Evaluate security trends, emerging threats, risks, and vulnerabilities; apply tools to mitigate and measure risk.
- Support development and rollout of new products and services with embedded security and resiliency.
- Report to the CIDO, CEO and Board on key risks and management’s remediation plans, ensuring risks are managed within approved appetite.
- Act as a strategic advisor on cybersecurity incidents and govern cross‑functional alignment.
- Consistently implement and oversee information security policies and practices across the company.
- Create a culture of cybersecurity awareness, engagement and ownership, driving behavioral changes.
- Lead the Enterprise Security Council.
- Manage relationships with internal and external partners to assess and mitigate online assets and third‑party data risks.
- Establish a robust incident response plan and manage cyber crises across the organization.
- Provide cybersecurity policies and procedures aligned to the Direct‑to‑Consumer (DTC) Business and Cloud assets.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and support information security and third‑party audits as required.
- Architect the technical strategy and standards for infrastructure.
- Lead design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of resilient and scalable IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and high performance of network, server, and storage systems.
- Develop Disaster Recovery plans and conduct tabletop exercises to address security breaches and infrastructure disruptions.
- Serve as a member of the Enterprise Data & Tech Leadership Team (EDTLT) and drive enterprise talent management.
- Build, maintain, and foster relationships with EDT leadership peers.
- Hire, train, develop, and retain high‑quality talent.
- Create, manage, and monitor evolving skills and experience requirements for information security and tech roles.
- Sponsor and lead enterprise culture and engagement forums.
- 20+ years of IT infrastructure and information security experience.
- 8+ years leading an advanced enterprise information security practice.
- Experience developing and executing security governance programs for digital commerce and consumer‑facing solutions.
- Proficiency with tools and policies surrounding intruder prevention, detection, and response.
- Active participation in creating response protocols as part of a holistic business continuity program.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology engineering or related field.
- CISSP certification desired.
- Existing CISO or strong number two with blended security and infrastructure experience considered.
