PositionAssociate Director, Dev Ops Engineering, IQVIA RDS Inc. Durham, NC.
ResponsibilitiesDevise and help teams implement Dev Ops strategies and methods throughout the development and deployment process for technical solutions. Lead Dev Ops teams, monitor project workflow, and ensure the finished product meets quality and reliability standards. Oversee the implementation, deployment, and integration of solutions, taking responsibility for successful delivery. Plan, build, configure, test solutions, maintain systems, analyze and approve new code, perform automation tasks and manage all aspects of solutions deployment and technical operations.
Work with the services and technology teams to define and implement CI/CD best practices. Drive cloud and container strategy. Evaluate and adopt various configuration management, build management and continuous integration tools and methodologies.
Guide team on SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring and Testing Techniques. Work with development manager to align on Dev Ops roadmap and resource needs.
Participate in software and hardware release to ensure service readiness, product usability, and case deflection by identifying product enhancements. Perform Dev Ops related defect triage with Product and Engineering teams. Collaborate with Project Teams to implement end-to-end Build and Release process.
Supervisory responsibilities for Sr. Software Engineer, Dev Ops Engineer 2, Sr. Network Systems Engineer, Software Engineer 2, and Dev Ops Engineer, or related.
QualificationsRequires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field or foreign equivalent.
Requires five (5) years of Software Development or Cloud Engineering experience, to include five (5) years:
Dev Ops experience;
Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Shell Scripting, AWS, Azure, and Data Dog; utilizing knowledge of Shell Scripting & Python; tailoring technical problem descriptions and root cause analysis statements to various audiences (customer support, end customers and development teams); assisting and directing troubleshooting for Field escalations; AWS, Azure, React, Java, and Postgres database; four (4) years:
Kubernetes and Docker; building and implementing CI/CD pipelines; and one (1) year: managing software engineering teams.
M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (EST). Salary Range: $201,885 - $239,700/year. The potential base pay range for this role is $201,885 - $239,700. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job‑related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part‑time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
