Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree required
- Five or more years of experience providing functional software support
- Significant experience with People Soft Campus Solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system and process issues
- Experience supporting student lifecycle processes in a higher education environment
- Advanced knowledge of People Soft Campus Solutions tools, including Equation Engine, Page and Field Configurator, Query, BI Publisher, 3C Communications, and Checklists
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional projects with broad institutional impact
- Demonstrated success developing and delivering user training and documentation
- Experience working with integrated systems such as Slate, Canvas, Perceptive Content, or identity management systems
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple, concurrent initiatives
- Capacity to interact professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, end users, power users, and technical development teams
This position is hybrid eligible, with work performed onsite and remotely.
Responsibilities- Provide operational and strategic leadership for assigned student information systems and functional areas, serving as the functional lead for the SISS Operations Team and guiding vision, prioritization, and planning.
- Lead cross‑functional and cross‑school initiatives
, with full accountability for project planning, execution, testing coordination, stakeholder communication, and outcomes reporting. - Serve as the embedded support resource for Financial Aid and Student Financials, partnering closely with functional teams to align system operations with evolving business needs.
- Advise schools and central offices on optimal system usage, process redesign, and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service delivery.
- Ensure system configurations and data structures support federal reporting, institutional analytics, strategic planning, and daily operational requirements.
- Anticipate and coordinate testing activities for new system enhancements, integrations, and process changes, ensuring stability across dependent systems.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex configuration, processing, and integration challenges, including triaging and resolving help desk tickets.
- Oversee interfaces and integrations with internal and external systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, and data integrity across platforms.
- Translate business needs into clear system requirements
, serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams. - Develop and maintain documentation including requirements, operational manuals, forms, training materials, and process guides.
- Deliver user training and education across all supported functional areas and systems.
- Maintain awareness of national trends and best practices
, representing Duke University through conference presentations, advisory groups, and interinstitutional forums.
Anticipated Pay Range: USD $68,970.00 to USD $. Salary is based on experience, education, and internal equity.
