Description:
Designs, architects, and develops end-to-end testing automation between systems and develops and sets up frameworks using Java, Cucumber, REST Assured, and Application Programming Interface (API) test automation. Sets up test automation and Selenium Grid in Cloud using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Kubernetes. Manages Disaster Recovery (DR) validations and end-to-end testing across Quality Assurance (QA) teams. Draws on in-depth knowledge of advanced principles, theories, and concepts to create high quality testing solutions for complex projects, applications, and products.
Responsible for the overall design and maintenance of organizational test strategies and master test plans. Consults with development architects on internal quality control standard services, policies, and procedures.
- Consults on standards for the development of test scripts, deployment, and reuse.
- Leads formal reviews of application designs, and business and functional requirements.
- Defines and implements test methodology, standards, procedures, milestones, and metrics.
- Develops or extends test automation frameworks and strategy.
- Consults on the development of in-house test tools and harnesses.
- Researches and recommends automated test development and alternative test tools.
- Coordinates test schedules and ensures overall success and test coverage of complex projects.
- Manages a team of individual contributors, including performance management responsibilities.
- Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise on complex projects.
- Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional QA projects.
- Advises senior management on quality assurance strategy.
- Provides leadership and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects.
- Researches and recommends new technologies.
- Identifies and plans for future resource needs.
- Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.
- Consults internally on complex test issues.
- Defines and coordinates production verification and validation for complex projects.
- Performs and reports risk analysis at the program or release level.
- Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Quality Assurance Engineering (or closely related occupation) performing API and UI testing and developing test automation scripts.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Quality Assurance Engineering (or closely related occupation) performing API and UI testing and developing test automation scripts.
Skills and KnowledgeCandidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing functional testing, developing test automation frameworks, managing teams, and maintaining a regression suite using Java Cucumber and Ruby Cucumber for API, document comparison, and UI testing.
- DE performing quality assurance testing of software applications with Java Hadoop Cucumber - AIML platforms and developing test automation frameworks.
- DE performing end-to-end testing using Java Selenium/Selenium grid in AWS using Web application testing.
- DE building and maintaining test automation scripts using Python and Java for algorithmic trading applications.
