Cisco's People Legal team is seeking a strategic and analytical Data Analyst to help drive data integrity and redefine operational workflows across legal data management and collaboration tools. In this role, you will have a broad view of the People Legal team and help bridge fragmented manual data management workflows with high-impact, AI-ready architecture.
You will transform complex, unstructured data into actionable insights, support legal operations reporting, improve process efficiency, and help enable data-driven decision-making across Legal, People & Communities, and related organizational partners.
- Own accurate and timely management of sensitive legal data in case management and related systems, including Salesforce, eBilling, Workday, and Docu Sign.
- Maintain, analyze, and report on data across multiple work streams, including external legal matters, compliance programs, employee transitions, and legal operations activities.
- Derive insights from Legal, People & Communities, and organizational datasets to support strategic decisions, exploratory data analysis, and operational reporting needs.
- Partner with the Operations Manager to diagram, analyze, and evaluate data processes, identify trends and bottlenecks, and recommend operating efficiencies.
- Serve as a data liaison for external compliance vendors, managing complex data flows and validating critical inputs for regulatory filing accuracy, including mandatory federal filings, state-level mandates, and global requirements.
- Analyze complex datasets using AI, automation, and digital collaboration tools to support development of AI-ready data architecture.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data, metrics, analytics, reporting, or equivalent experience in roles of increasing complexity or scope.
- Experience managing, analyzing, and reporting on data in systems such as Workday Reporting, Salesforce, database reporting tools, or case management platforms.
- Experience using AI, automation, or collaborative tools to support data analysis, process improvement, or reporting.
- Experience managing multiple data requests, reports, or projects within established time frames.
- 5+ years of experience in data, metrics, analytics, reporting, or equivalent experience in roles of increasing complexity or scope.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, explain, and communicate the meaning of measures and metrics.
- Strong organizational skills, technical acumen, and ability to self-manage while effectively taking direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at multiple levels of leadership.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, assess, and communicate data gaps, inconsistencies, and risk areas.
- Positive, team-focused, service-oriented, and results-driven approach, with curiosity and a passion for improving efficiencies through data and technology.
