Job Description:Job Summary
The Oracle Cloud Tax with One Source Lead Consultant will be responsible for leading cross-functional discussions with tax and accounting teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement best practices in Oracle ERP Cloud Tax and One Source applications.
The role involves triaging tax-specific issues, designing and building solutions, conducting testing, documenting configurations, and training end users throughout the implementation lifecycle, including go-live support.
This position also includes broader business analysis responsibilities such as stakeholder engagement, requirements engineering, solution evaluation, process adherence, and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities- Lead requirement discussions with tax and accounting users; analyze needs and provide solution recommendations aligned with industry best practices.
- Understand and document business and tax requirements; develop and document tax solutions ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- Design and build solutions on Oracle Fusion and One Source.
- Support Oracle Fusion Tax implementation as a functional lead.
- Triage tax-specific issues and design/build solutions leveraging ERP Cloud and One Source.
- Document, configure, test, and demonstrate the final solution throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Contribute to implementation methodology, including RAID logs and documentation of risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
- Help design, document, and test enhancements including RICEW components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows).
- Test delivered tax solutions and support UAT.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders.
- Lead project status meetings and participate in issue-resolution discussions.
- Plan business analysis approaches for complex situations.
- Create software requirement artifacts and ensure alignment between requirements and design.
- Communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders.
- Conduct impact assessments for changes in requirements and designs.
- Validate information, identify solution options, and manage requirement creation and lifecycle processes.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration, negotiate solution options vs. value delivered, and gain consensus on outcomes.
- Maintain BA artifacts and documentation, ensuring effective communication across stakeholder groups.
- Drive adoption of tools, templates, and processes to support decision making and approvals.
- Mentor junior Business Analysts as needed.
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities and solution recommendations when requested.
- Demonstrable expertise in One Source configuration and solutioning.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in a tax environment working with Oracle E-Business Suite Tax or Oracle Cloud Fusion Tax with One Source Tax engine.
- Experience working on at least 3 full lifecycle tax implementations.
- Experience with Multi-Org setups (set of books, legal entities, operating units).
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership and accountability of delivery while working with multiple business and IT teams.
- Knowledge of AR/AP/Procurement processes and touchpoints with One Source.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques including brainstorming, business rules analysis, prototyping, data mining, process modeling, risk analysis, use cases, user stories, backlog management, and more.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to analyze current and future state, define change strategies, conduct risk assessments, and propose solution options.
- Experience developing process flows, use cases, current/future state diagrams, and user stories.
- Good understanding of SDLC and methodologies.
- Proficiency with tools and technologies used for modeling, requirements management, collaboration, and documentation.
- Ability to evaluate solution performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Experience mentoring junior Business Analysts.
- Experience supporting new business opportunity identification.
- Recognized expertise in business analysis methodologies, solution evaluation, change strategies, and requirements architecture.
- Experience developing innovative approaches using new tools, templates, and processes.
- Ability to build a network of SMEs within the organization.
