Summary

Strata Solar is a leading developer, builder and operator of solar power and battery energy storage system projects. Its operations cover 150+ operating utility-scale solar farms, with construction and development activities nationally. This position is within Strata’s legal department and will be an integral part of, and provide administrative and operational support to, Strata’s existing 9‑person legal team, and will have daily interaction with Strata’s management, development, construction and finance teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists legal team on a wide variety of legal operations, corporate governance, compliance and contract management needs, with a particular emphasis on a transactional practice, including corporate and project finance, investments, real estate, project development and acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Assists with the drafting, management and compilation of a wide variety of agreements and documents, including membership interest purchase and sale agreements, asset purchase agreements, operating agreements and other organizational and governance documents, loan documents, real estate site control contracts, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, power purchase agreements, renewable energy certificate purchase and sale agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, asset management agreements and non‑disclosure agreements.
  • Assists in the formation, maintenance and dissolution of entities, including the preparation of related organizational documents and regulatory requirements relating thereto.
  • Administers and manages due diligence activities and virtual data rooms.
  • Communicates directly with Strata’s counter parties and outside counsel.
  • Assists in the application for and maintenance of Strata’s professional licenses (general contractor, engineering, electrical, etc.).
  • Develops, implements and manages document processing and records management procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison with various departments within Strata, including development, finance, legal, engineering, construction, human relations and asset management.
  • Assists legal team with general administrative matters and other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of transactional, real estate, or corporate paralegal experience.
  • Experience and interest in the renewable energy, real estate or construction industries preferred but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of organization.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to and manage shifting priorities and deadlines in a cross‑functional, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying, proposing and implementing improvements to the legal team’s systems and processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and electronic execution and filing platforms such as Docu Sign and Ironclad; advanced knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds.
