Inventory Coordinator

Job Description

As an Inventory Coordinator, you will utilize Strata’s ERP system (Viewpoint Vista) and Excel to create and manage material tracking reports. Your role involves combining site material plans with tracking data to develop daily and weekly load routing and receiving schedules, maintaining precise processes for tracking materials from delivery through usage, and ensuring timely entry of material quantities into the inventory system.

Responsibilities
  • Create and run material tracking reports using Viewpoint Vista and Excel.
  • Develop daily and weekly load routing and receiving schedules by combining site material plans with tracking data.
  • Maintain accurate processes for tracking materials from delivery through usage.
  • Enter material quantities into the inventory system promptly.
  • Scan and accurately label delivery documents such as BOLs, manifests, and packing slips in Viewpoint.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and monthly physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate shipment issues like backorders or damaged materials to the Corporate Purchasing team.
  • Report trucking issues such as late deliveries or incorrect quantities to the Corporate Logistics team.
  • Ensure subcontractors complete and sign Material Transfer Forms when transferring ownership.
  • Support On-Time Delivery goals by coordinating with Construction and performing other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in inventory management or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a consistent record of accuracy.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all company safety protocols and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example with strong communication skills.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Lists preferred.
  • Ability to document reports and meeting notes.
  • Capability to communicate effectively with other contractors on site.

Work Environment

You will work at various project sites, starting with the current project and moving to others within the state. Per diem is available for sites 1.5 hours from the job site. Expect to work in a construction trailer with loud conditions. The standard work week is Monday through Friday, with 5‑hour shifts starting at 7 AM, and availability to work on weekends is necessary.

Employees will have three breaks daily and are required to wear appropriate outdoor work clothing on site.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
