Driver

Location:

Durham, NC

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from activities while ensuring quality service.
• Assist disabled passengers in and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during the trip.
• Operate radio, cell phone, or pager to communicate with the base station or other vehicles to report service disruptions.
• Maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewal process.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly basis and per trip.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) with an acceptable driving record per Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Knowledge of all safety precautions and compliance with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills, and handling multiple priorities.
