Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m.

Hiring Range: $77,507.00 to $ / Annually

Devoted to providing project management and oversight of the design and construction of building improvements and major maintenance projects.  Perform oversight and management of multiple and/or large, complex, and high-profile construction and design projects for City facilities and major maintenance.  Oversee the entire project lifecycle which may include land acquisition, design, construction, and close-out and serve as designated subject matter experts.

Decision-making includes providing input into management objectives, establishing work goals and objectives of a unit to carry out management direction, and selecting the method to address a problem or issue, subject to the constraints established by management objectives and direction.

Responsible for managing design consultants, general contractors, Construction Manager at Risk contractors, and other consultants; ensuring that projects meet deliverables and specifications; inspecting projects on site; developing and maintaining project records including documenting all issues, risks, scope and budget changes and impacts to schedules; assisting in the real estate acquisition process; collaborating with the City Attorney's office to negotiate and write high-dollar contracts in accordance with procurement laws and regulations;

creating, managing, and tracking schedules and budgets; reviewing project documents and construction activities to identify constructability issues, conflicts, ambiguities, and other items that impede progress; identifying and managing risk issues, reporting unresolved issues to upper management; preparing reports and agenda items for the City council; making presentations; reviewing and approving payment requests; and…
