Position Summary
This position will serve as Chief of the Division of Geriatrics and Director of the Center for Aging and Health. The appointment is an open‑rank faculty position with an at‑will Division Chief secondary appointment.
The Division Chief must be a leader in academic practice and promote expertise in research, medical education, complex clinical care, and quality and safety. Responsibilities include a combination of administrative, clinical, research, and educational duties. Candidates should have a proven track record of productivity in basic and translational research, clinical research and/or clinical trials.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsMD degree.
Preferred Qualifications and CompetenciesBoard certification in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a clear ability to manage a multifaceted academic division and center. Creativity, passion for academic leadership, and the ability to inspire confidence in reasoning and decision‑making.
Campus Security Authority ResponsibilitiesHeld in accordance with the Clery Act. The incumbent must report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training on reporting responsibilities.
