Operations Management, Administrative Management
Job Description
We're looking for an Operations Manager who's steady, direct, and genuinely energized by running a well-organized team. This isn't someone looking for their next stepping stone into sales, and it isn't someone who prefers flexibility over structure. This is a full-time, in-office leadership role for someone who wants to build a career in operations, not just pass through it.
This is a senior leadership role that reports directly to ownership. Ownership sets the vision, goals, and projects, and your job is to take that direction and make it real: breaking it into action, assigning it to the right people, and holding staff accountable until it's actually done, not just discussed. You are the one staff answers to for follow-through on ownership's priorities.
If you like being the person who makes sure things actually get done (and done right), this is your role.
Accountability & Execution When ownership sets a goal or project, you own turning it into action, breaking it down, assigning it, and holding staff to it until it's complete. This isn't a suggestion role. Staff answers to you on follow-through, and you answer to ownership on results.
Staff Coordination You'll coordinate schedules, office coverage, and day-to-day team logistics across both offices, making sure the right people are in the right place and nobody's left covering alone without a plan.
Communication Flow You're the connective tissue between agents, staff, and ownership. We move quickly here, so we lean on real-time conversation to work through things as they come up, rather than letting them pile up.
Events & Team Culture You'll help plan and run team meetings, trainings, and events that keep the team connected and engaged.
Agent Services Tracking You'll keep an eye on what agents need, from inventory to support, and flag it to ownership before it becomes a problem.
Who You Are- You thrive with structure and consistency, and you're looking to build a long-term career in operations leadership, not use this as a bridge to something else.
- You handle things in the moment. Big or small, you'd rather talk something through in conversation than let it sit and grow.
- You're steady and even-keeled, comfortable with ambiguity and letting things play out in their own time, so the team always knows where they stand with you and you take feedback the same easy way you give it.
- You're just as comfortable running a full office as you are covering one on your own, including quieter stretches at our Canton location, without needing company to stay sharp and engaged.
- You're organized, dependable, and detail-oriented, and you follow through without needing reminders.
- You're resourceful, you look for solutions and use good judgment before escalating.
- You're comfortable holding people accountable, including occasionally uncomfortable conversations, without it becoming personal.
- Real estate experience is a plus but not required if you're a fast learner who takes ownership of understanding how the business runs.
- Pay: $50,000 to $58,000 per year, based on experience
- Bonus:
Additional potential opportunities if you hold or obtain an active NC Real Estate License - Benefits:
Paid time off, health insurance, retirement plan - Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8-hour days, no weekends
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) - Work Location:
In person, split between our Maggie Valley and Canton offices (about 40 minutes from Asheville, and about 35 minutes from Sylva) - Commute:
Must be able to travel between offices as needed
We're a high-production, established real estate firm that punches well above our size. Our work is guided by a simple vision: connecting our community with knowledge, providing service with integrity and sincerity, and living our lives in balance. We build everything around authenticity, inclusion, growth, and excellence. If that sounds like the kind of leadership role you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
