The Operations Lead will support the day‑to‑day operations of the Construction and Self‑Perform departments and serve as the primary operational partner to the Sr. Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will partner with senior leadership on time critical activities, oversee Construction Expeditor efforts, and drive process improvement across teams. Additionally, the candidate should be a proactive leader capable of guiding cross‑functional teams through complex tasks and ensuring crucial deadlines are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership, organization, flexibility, attention to detail and strong communication skills are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with oversight of the day‑to‑day operations of the Construction and Self‑Perform departments
  • Partner with Administrative, Construction, PMO, Subcontracts, Cost Controls and Scheduling teams to lead new project setup
  • Assist the Sr. Operations Manager with oversight of all task orders for active and forecasted projects
  • Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly cost reports across all external agencies
  • Direct the generation, response, distribution and filing of status updates and schedules
  • Work closely with the CM, Administration, and Cost Control teams to track and optimize project resources
  • Assist the Sr. Operations Manager in all aspects of the First Time Right program, including FTR budget, resources, and lessons learned efforts
  • Own onboarding efforts of the Construction and Self‑Perform departments
  • Partner with the training team on detailed reports for the self‑perform components
  • Lead Mobilization & Demobilization efforts of the Expeditor team
  • Review and approve weekly/monthly reports prior to submission to senior leadership
  • Assist with weekly/monthly attendance and worked hours of internal/external staff
  • Own the Construction SharePoint site and ORG Charts
  • Manage labor invoice reviews/approvals and escalates discrepancies
  • Maintain and own the workforce tracking tool
  • Develop, update Standard Operating Procedures & Standard Work Instructions
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency
  • Assist with tracking of Fleet and other assets/resources of the Construction, Self‑Perform, and FTR Teams
  • Review, proof‑read and approve project documents and meeting packages prepared by the team
  • Ensure certifications of the Construction and Self‑Perform departments remain current
  • Lead special projects and initiatives
  • Drive staff forecasting and assignment per project schedule
  • Develop and report operational KPIs and metrics to senior leadership
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Ops Manager and/or Sr. Director of Construction
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises Operations Coordinators & Expeditor team within Construction Operations, including assigning and reviewing work, training and mentoring, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting hiring decisions.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • 4 Year College Degree in Construction Management, Business or related field (Preferred)
