Our opportunity
We are seeking Metal Fabrication Preparation Associate for our Denver, NC location
Job SummaryResponsible for preparing metal fabrication components for welding operations and providing finishing on welded assemblies. This is an entry level position
Responsibilities- Brush and grind metal components of different alloys to prepare for welding processes
- Able to learn on the job and accept feedback from supervisors
- Sand/grind Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel and other alloys
- Able to learn about welding processes and standard manufacturing methods
- Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Assist fellow team members in maintenance, setup and inventory activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Use company provided tape measures, squares, clamps, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, vertical and horizontal band saws, cut-off tools, belt sanders, 4.5" and 8" hand grinders and other hand tools and equipment required for fabrication preparation.
Educational andPhysical Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day and lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
