AboutThe Role
This position will provide a back‑up for team members and will require flexibility regarding shift assignments. In this role, you will support Development Facilities Services utility operations. Activities include system monitoring and response, and communication to key customers/system owners. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. It involves providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Working under limited supervision, monitor building system alarms operations and performance, respond to alarms and correspond with key customers and support personnel.
- Operate and support all plant engineering owned building systems in PR&D buildings in a compliant manner.
- Monitor alarms for PR&D buildings.
- Performance management and development planning (GPAS).
- Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe and operable state.
- Ensure staffing for 24/7 monitoring and response of utility systems and proper communication of issues.
- Maintain personal training plan at 100% to ensure compliance with all aspects of HS&E, Quality and Regulatory Agencies.
- Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
- Troubleshoot difficult equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2‑3 years of job‑related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma. Valid driver's license and completion of an apprenticeship required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
