Job Description

Note: This is a generalized technician role in the Formulation department, requiring routine heavy lifting. Not a lab formulation role. Familiarity with bulk mixing of raw materials is essential. Do not submit candidates previously submitted for earlier requisitions.

Shift: 12-hour rotating day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 2-2-3 rotation). Overtime likely available.
Position Summary
  • Operate high-speed equipment for BacT/ALERT bottle production.
  • Prepare, stage, and weigh raw materials for liquid reagent formulation.
  • Perform setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Complete production batches and documentation.
  • Follow approved Manufacturing Directions and SOPs.
Main Accountabilities
  • Production: Operate high-speed, sometimes automated equipment using HMI/SCADA.
  • Quality: Ensure accurate and timely completion of batch paperwork, compliance with SOPs, and assist in deviation analysis and CAPA actions.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety policies and use PPE as required.
  • Other Duties: Generate reports, assist in validation protocols, and perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 0-1 year in a regulated production/operations environment. Experience in weighing/staging raw materials preferred.
  • Skills: Certification in Bioworks Program preferred. Background in bulking/compounding in relevant industries desired. Familiarity with OSHA, FDA, and GMP regulations preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new procedures quickly.
Additional Information:
  • Ability to climb stairs, lift 50-75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate motorized pallet jacks.
  • Exposure to chemicals, antibiotics, hazardous materials, and strong odors.
  • PPE use required; make-up and jewelry are prohibited in certain areas.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime as needed.
