Position Type:
Onsite. Requires U.S. citizenship, U.S. person, or authorized status to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. No security clearance is required.
- Component Assembly: Perform sub‑assembly and component assembly operations, bonding, riveting, and ensure precision of sub‑assembled components.
- Seat Assembly: Install and adjust parts for aircraft seat repairs, interpreting drawings, work orders, and job cards.
- Fixture & Equipment Setup: Set up and operate all fixtures, jigs, and testing equipment to meet exact specifications.
- Fit & Adjustment: Assemble, fit, and adjust metal and plastic details for proper alignment and functionality.
- Final Adjustments: Conduct final checks and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
- Component Repairs: Adjust and repair assemblies, including forming, trimming, filling, deburring, reaming, and testing as required.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work conforms to blueprints, written procedures, and quality specifications.
- Material Handling: Efficiently move materials to and from work positions to maintain workflow.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Production Standards: Consistently meet production and quality standards to support team success.
- Issue Reporting: Identify and report non‑compliance issues or difficulties to supervision promptly.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work area, reporting discrepancies to management.
- Professional Conduct: Represent Collins Aerospace with professionalism and integrity at all times.
- High School diploma or equivalent; or two years of relevant experience if diploma is not held.
- Blueprint proficiency: read and interpret work orders, trim and finish drawings, and blueprints accurately.
- Mechanical proficiency with hand and power tools needed for repairs and installations.
- Mathematical competence: basic shop math for precise measurements and calculations.
- Documentation skills: accurately fill out standard forms and records.
- Tech savvy: proficient with data collection devices and computers for data entry.
- Physical capability: lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds; comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Eligibility:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
- This position is safety‑sensitive and subject to FAA drug and alcohol testing per 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40.
- Employees may be required to attend in‑person interview steps at specified office locations.
