Director of Manufacturing (Aerospace & Defense)

Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
About The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing to lead manufacturing operations for a growing Aerospace & Defense organization. This leadership role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, production strategy, quality, cost, delivery performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all manufacturing and operations activities to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that support business growth and operational excellence.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership on production planning, resource allocation, and future manufacturing capabilities.
- Oversee manufacturing teams, facilities, budgets, and capital investments.
- Implement new technologies and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing manufacturing teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Aerospace or Defense Manufacturing.
- Experience managing both prototype and production manufacturing programs.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems.
- Proven success improving manufacturing performance, reducing costs, and increasing profitability.
- Experience supporting Aerospace or Defense OEM programs.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- Experience in highly regulated Aerospace & Defense environments.
- Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience.
- Executive-level leadership role
- Competitive salary: $150,000 – $180,000
