Job DescriptionThe job function will include understanding the operation of the molding machines and all support equipment. The ability to perform all operator duties and make process adjustments within the ranges of our in‑process‑control‑sheet as necessary. Help perform scheduled preventive maintenance of the molding machine and all support equipment. Be capable of performing a mold set up (into the press) and removal.
Responsibilities- Keep all records and documentation accurate and current.
- Observe all department safety policies.
- Maintain equipment guards and safety devices in working condition.
- Perform visual and dimensional quality checks to ensure production requirements are met.
- Assist the operator with reel changes and relief of operator for breaks and lunches.
- Material handling, in the form of raw material or finished product.
- Keeping the general work area organized and clean, performing the necessary housekeeping to do so.
On‑site regular, reliable attendance is required. Mechanical skills will be required to the extent of understanding and possessing the ability to use all common hand tools including the use of common measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers). Candidates must be able to lift 55 pounds.
