Facilities Electrical Technician

Wolfspeed is seeking a Facilities Electrical Technician to join the Facilities team at our Durham campus supporting 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will apply your electrical expertise to a challenging environment where you can make a real difference in the day‑to‑day operations of a high‑tech electronics and semiconductor manufacturing operation.

• Utilize control systems to monitor equipment within the factory, review system trends, respond to alarms and other urgent facility situations, and troubleshoot operational parameters that fall outside of normal operating parameters.
• Utilize root cause analysis to determine failure causes and implement preventive actions to mitigate future system issues.
• Follow established environmental, health, safety, and facilities operational processes and procedures to ensure risks are mitigated and work is completed safely and reliably.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to VFDs, MCCs, motors, UPSs, and breakers.
• Update panel schedules, drawings, one‑line diagrams.
• Apply knowledge of electrical standards and code (NFPA
  70B, NFPA 70E).

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of industrial maintenance related experience or a combination of education, technical degree, or certificates.
• Experience with computerized CMMS and building management systems / SCADA to maintain and troubleshoot facilities equipment.
• Ability to work safely, use all personal protective equipment, and attend training as required by OSHA and job requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work from verbal and written instructions, manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, piping and instrument diagrams, work orders and specifications.
• Assertive self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision and direction.
• Availability to work in a 24‑hour on‑call schedule.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs and work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and work involving fingers, hands, and wrists, including standing or walking over hard concrete surfaces, and climbing ladders.
• Lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
• Willingness to perform additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
